Brockston Public Schools have officially opened their doors to the public.
The new campus is in Brookfield, the second largest city in the state.
Brockington has been home to the state’s largest city since the early 1900s.
The school district is expecting to receive more than 100,000 students this year.
Brockton School District President Scott Lappin told the Free Press that the opening of the new campus has been a huge win for the community.
Broken down, we have a lot of students, many of them from the surrounding area, and they have had a really good start to their school year.
We’re excited to welcome them to Brockerton, and to make this our first year, a new campus.
Broken Down: Brockfield Public Schools opens to the communityThe school board is expecting that about 60 percent of students who were admitted into the school last year will attend the new Brockon County campus.
There are plans to expand to new areas and add additional facilities.
