Chippewas Valley schools will soon have a new mascot, a tattoo girl.
The Chippes are known for their tattoos, but they have a more modern style, said the school’s chief of community development.
They’re not just for girls, said Jennifer Ouellette, the school board president.
Chipps are a big part of the school.
They make sure the kids get their art, and they want to make sure they’re having fun.
This is part of a trend at Chippweas Valley, said Chippee, who is also a school board member.
They want to be the place where kids can be themselves, and be inspired by the people they meet.
We have a really big focus on community development, said Ouellicle.
This is an opportunity for us to make Chippees a more inclusive place for everyone.
“In the coming weeks, the Chippaws will have a contest for the new mascot.
One person will be chosen to become the new Chippie, and the winner will be announced later this year.
The winner will get to become a Chippeguy, or “chippee,” and the school will have to rename the mascot.
