Posted February 03, 2018 05:08:47In a shocking development that has outraged parents, Lincoln Elementary school principal Thomas Foltz is accused of sexual harassment of boys and women, including a teacher, according to the Lincoln-Seymour School District.
Foltz, who is a teacher at Lincoln Elementary, has been placed on administrative leave pending the investigation, the district said in a statement.
The Lincoln-Sherman School District has also placed Folt, 52, on administrative left-to-work leave.
He is a district trustee, district spokeswoman Melissa O’Brien said.
Fotz, whose employment status has not been released, was placed on leave on January 30, the Lincoln School District said in its statement.
He had been working in Lincoln Elementary for the last seven years.
In a statement, Lincoln-Hemming School District Superintendent Michael Korsch said, “I am outraged by this allegation.
This behavior is unacceptable and I want to assure our students that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated.
We will be taking immediate and decisive action to address the issue and will be cooperating fully with the district.”
The district also released a statement Tuesday saying that “there is no evidence to support this allegation.”
“The district takes these matters very seriously and has zero tolerance for sexual harassment, discrimination or any other form of misconduct,” Korsclash said.
The Lincoln School Board is working with district staff to identify any additional resources that we may need to address this matter and we look forward to continuing to work with the community and our community partners to build a stronger Lincoln-Fulton school community.”
