HARVARD LAW SCHOOL, Mass.

— Harvard Law School graduate Cody Williams, a 28-year-old father of two, was shot during a dispute with school security officers Saturday, the school said.

Williams was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

The shooting occurred after a man who was in the school parking lot started to argue with the school security guards and a school resource officer, according to a statement from Harvard Law School.

Harvard police were called to the parking lot around 9 p.m. to investigate a report of a fight.

Williams and a woman who was nearby were in a confrontation with the man.

Williams, who is a Harvard Law student, was standing outside when he was shot.

Harvest Law School released a statement Sunday morning that said Williams was shot “in the head by a police officer and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.”
